Diaconal Ordination Photo Gallery

Bradford Donald Acton, Michael David Cumbie, Brett Latham Hedgepeth, Samuel Keith Huffman, Virginia Mitchell McCray and Donald Ray McDaniel, Jr. were ordained to the sacred order order of Deacons by the Right Reverand Terrell Glenn this past Sunday night. It was a worship celebration that I will remember for years to come. All Saints Church was filled with members from Holy Trinity in Raleigh, Church of the Apostles in Raleigh and from All Saints Church as these six servants of Christ Jesus were ordained to the diaconate. Dozens of clergy from around the region attended as well to support the ordinands and celebrate the unity that the Spirit is creating and sustaining amongst the Anglican churches in our region. Steve Breedlove shared a challenging and Spirit-filled message to the ordinands and the church and Bishop Terrell led the solemn and joyous service.

Pray for the newly ordained and for God’s Church!

Almighty God, who by your divine providence has appointed diverse Orders of Ministers in yourChurch, and who inspired your Apostles to choose into the Order of Deacons the first martyr Stephen, with others; mercifully behold these your servants now called to the same Office and Administration: so fill them with the truth of your Doctrine, and adorn them with holiness of life, that, both by word and good example, they may faithfully serve you in this Office, to the glory of your Name, and the edification of your Church; through the merits of our Savior, Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen.
